Biography

John Tordoff (born 11 September 1938) is a retired English actor. He won a scholarship to RADA at the age of eighteen and graduated in 1957, after which he worked in repertory theatre and later joined the company at the Nottingham Playhouse.

In 1972 he became a founding member of The Actors Company. His screen credits include the role of Mr. Andrews in the film Without a Clue (1988), the Scribe in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), Alec Leeson in Doctor Who (1971), and Malachi in Jesus of Nazareth (1977). He has also worked as a writer, director and artist.
