Biography
Jonas Katzenstein is a German film producer and co-founder of augenschein Filmproduktion. Born in Cologne in 1980, he began his career as an audio engineer, graduating in 2002. In 2004 he founded the recording studio artaudio in Cologne, and in 2008 he established augenschein Filmproduktion with Maximilian Leo. He later completed postgraduate training in fiction producing at the Filmhaus Cologne.
Katzenstein has produced or co-produced numerous films, including 7500 (2019), Stowaway (2021), The Dive (2023), A Sacrifice (2024), The Assessment (2025), Islands (2025) and Dead of Winter (2025). His company specialises in international co-productions.
