Biography
Jorge de Juan is a Spanish actor, producer and theatre director. Born on 6 June 1961 in Cartagena, he trained at the Royal School of Dramatic Art in Madrid and studied direction and production at the British Theatre Association in London.
He has appeared in numerous films and television series, including Open Your Eyes (1997) as Encargado L.E., Grimsby (2016) as Javier Alvarez, Frozen Silence (2012) as Paramio and La Palma (2024) as Álvaro. His theatre work includes long runs in productions such as The Woman in Black and The 39 Steps, which he also produced and co-directed.
De Juan founded the Spanish Theatre Company and the Cervantes Theatre in London. He received the Francisco Rabal Film award for his leading role in El Mejor de los Tiempos (1990).
