Biography
José Javier Domínguez, also known as JJ Domínguez, is a Spanish actor born in Valencia on 18 November 1982. He studied dramatic arts in Valencia and Barcelona, and completed a master’s in the Stanislavski Method at the National Theatre in Minsk, Belarus.
Domínguez has appeared in numerous television series, including Vis a Vis (2015–2016) as Inspector Pipiolo, Acacias 38, La que se avecina and Com si fos ahir. His film roles include [REC]³ Genesis (2012), The Laws of Thermodynamics (2018), Parallel Mothers (2021) and the lead in Apóstata (2019). He has also worked in theatre and short films, and collaborated with Alejandro Amenábar on the 2015 Estrella Damm short Vale.
In addition to acting, Domínguez is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who leads the indie rock band El vecino de la luna. He has released albums and collaborates with the Fundación Yehudi Menuhín on theatre workshops for children.
