Biography
Joseph Krings is a film editor. His feature credits include Captain Fantastic (2016), directed by Matt Ross, which premiered at Sundance and screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, where Ross won Best Director.
Krings edited Ross’s earlier film 28 Hotel Rooms (2012). He was named the 2013 Sally Menke Memorial Editing Fellow by the Sundance Institute. Other credits include Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon (2013), Galveston (2018), Rebel in the Rye (2017) and After the Wedding (2019). He is Emmy-nominated for his work on the limited series Death by Lightning (2025).
Originally from Nebraska, Krings is based in Brooklyn.
