Biography
Joseph Noriega, also credited as José M. Noriega or Joe Noriega, was a film editor and producer. Born in Veracruz, Mexico, he began his career as an assistant editor on RKO productions in the early 1930s.
He worked as editor on several Hollywood films, including Hitler's Children (1943), Behind the Rising Sun (1943), Murder, My Sweet (1944), Cornered (1945) and The Enchanted Cottage (1945). In the late 1940s he moved into producing, with credits on Mexican features such as A la sombra del puente (1948) and Hermoso ideal (1948), as well as associate producer roles on Mystery in Mexico (1948) and Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948).
Noriega died in Mexico City in 1952.
