Biography
Joseph Nurnberger was a composer and music department contributor active in American silent films during the 1910s. He is credited as composer of the overture for the Los Angeles premiere of The Birth of a Nation (1915).
His other documented credits include composer or music arranger roles on The Winged Idol (1915), Between Men (1915), The Three Musketeers (1916) and Hearts of the World (1918), as well as music compiler and selector work on several titles from the same period.
