Biography
Juan Chacón was an American actor. He played Ramon Quintero in the 1954 film Salt of the Earth.
Born on 7 November 1919 in Dwyer, New Mexico, he died on 16 February 1985 in Deming, New Mexico. At the time of the film's production he was president of Local 890 of the United Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers union and worked for the Kennecott Copper Corporation.
Chacón also appeared as himself in the documentaries A Crime to Fit the Punishment (1982) and El tren de la memoria (2005).
