Biography
Julia Fontana is a screenwriter and producer. Born in Barcelona, she studied communication and audiovisual media at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra before moving to New York in 2009 on a Fulbright scholarship. She later relocated to Los Angeles, where she participated in the Sundance Institute and a Fox Writers Intensive programme.
Fontana wrote the 2016 Netflix Spain feature 7 Años. Her television credits include writing and story editing duties on Lucifer (2016–2021), The InBetween (2019), Fire Country (2022–2023) and Your Friends & Neighbors (2025–), where she is also credited as a producer. She has received one win and one nomination for her work.
