Biography
Julia Gilbert is a British screenwriter. She trained as an actress at the Manchester School of Theatre and worked in television and theatre before completing an MA in Screenwriting at the London College of Communication in 2005. She subsequently worked as a core writer for the BBC’s Continuing Drama department.
Gilbert has written multiple episodes of Midsomer Murders since 2017, as well as episodes of Agatha Raisin and Ridley. She has also contributed to The Marlow Murder Club. In 2016 she received a Writers’ Guild of Great Britain nomination for her work on Holby City.
