Biography
Julia Swain is a cinematographer whose credits include feature films across genres. She holds an MFA in cinematography from UCLA and is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild. In 2022 she was named one of the American Society of Cinematographers' Rising Stars.
Her work includes Lucky (2020), The Wrath of Becky (2023), Scrambled (2023), The Mattachine Family (2023), Voicemails for Isabelle (2026) and The Dreadful (2026). Several of her projects, including Lucky, Scrambled and The Wrath of Becky, premiered at SXSW. She has collaborated repeatedly with director Leah McKendrick.
