Biography
Julie Herlocker is an American director, producer and writer. She began her career as a post-producer on episodic television, with credits that include The West Wing, Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, Skin, Las Vegas, Grimm and Dietland.
Herlocker directed the Grimm episode 'Breakfast in Bed' (2017), her first episodic directing credit after the short film Peter's Ashes (2014). She has since directed the shorts 7AM Wednesday (2020) and A Close Call (2021), and made her feature debut with The Sintern (2024). She is a graduate of the DGA's DDI Mentorship Program, a participant in the Paramount Global Directing Initiative and was selected for the inaugural 2024 Alliance of Women Directors Rising Director Fellowship.
