Biography
Julio Suárez is an Argentine costume designer. He was born on 26 July 1959 in 25 de Mayo, Buenos Aires Province. He began working in theatre at the age of 18 and later moved into film costume design.
Suárez has designed costumes for more than forty feature films. His credits include The Clan (2015), Zama (2017), El Ángel (2018), The Heist of the Century (2020) and Society of the Snow (2023). He has also worked on several television series.
In 2024 he won the Goya Award for Best Costume Design for Society of the Snow. He received the Konex Award for costume design in 2021 and has won multiple Premios Sur and Cóndor de Plata awards. He has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2019.
