Biography
Jung Woo-sung (Korean: 정우성) is a South Korean actor. He was born on 22 April 1973 in Seoul.
He began his career as a fashion model and rose to prominence with his role in the 1997 film Beat, for which he received the Best New Actor award from the Korean Association of Film Critics. He has since appeared in films including A Moment to Remember (2004), The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008) as Park Do-won, Cold Eyes (2013), Steel Rain (2017), Hunt (2022) and 12.12: The Day (2023).
From 2015 until 2024 he served as a National Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, the first such appointment for a Korean celebrity supporter.
