Biography
Jussi Rautaniemi is a Finnish film editor based in Helsinki. He trained at Aalto University, completing a Master of Arts in Film Editing in 2012, and has worked as a freelance editor on feature films, documentaries and television series.
He is known for his long collaboration with director Juho Kuosmanen on The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki (2016) and Compartment No. 6 (2021). Other credits include Supercool (2021), The Invisible Fight (2023), The Summer Book (2024) and Nightborn (2026).
Rautaniemi has won the Jussi Award for Best Editing three times and received an Estonian Film Award for Best Editing in 2024. He has also written and directed the short film Strive, due to premiere in 2026.
