Biography
Justine Juel Gillmer, also credited as Justine Gillmer, is an Australian screenwriter and television producer. She graduated from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2005 with a Masters in Screenwriting. Her early career included script editing and writing on Australian series such as McLeod’s Daughters, Packed to the Rafters, Neighbours, Home and Away and The Deep.
Gillmer later worked in the United States as a writer and producer on series including Into the Badlands (2015), The 100 (2014–2018, where she served as executive story editor and co-producer) and Cleverman (2017). She wrote episodes of Halo (2022) and The Wheel of Time (2021–), on which she has also held co-executive and executive producer roles. Her feature screenplay credits include The Survivor (2022).
