Biography
Kao Chung-Li (also credited as Ko Chung-Lai or 高重黎) is a Taiwanese actor, photographer, filmmaker and animator. He appeared as an actor in Hou Hsiao-hsien’s The Time to Live and the Time to Die (1985) and A City of Sadness (1989).
Born in Taipei in 1958, Kao trained in printmaking and later worked in publishing before focusing on experimental film, animation and media archaeology. His practice examines the production of images and their relation to personal and historical memory.
