Biography
Kap Te'o-Tafiti (also credited as Kap Teo Tafiti) is a Samoan actor and cultural performer. He is credited as Coconut Farmer in the 2026 film Moana and appeared as Shota in an episode of the television series Magnum P.I. (2020). He has also contributed to Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) as cultural advisor and to NCIS: Hawai'i (2022) in the music department.
Te'o-Tafiti has worked for many years as senior cultural ambassador for the Samoa Village at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii, where he performs fireknife dancing and demonstrations. A graduate of Brigham Young University–Hawaii with a degree in fine arts, he is also an artist whose work includes sculpture, pottery and painting. He was born and raised in Samoa.
