Biography
Karen Sillas is an American actress. She trained at the State University of New York at Purchase and studied at the Actors Studio and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She began working with director Hal Hartley in short films and made her feature debut as Nurse Paine in his Trust (1990). She later played Kate in his Simple Men (1992).
On television, Sillas starred as Detective Rose Phillips in the CBS series Under Suspicion (1994–1995). Her other credits include guest roles in Law & Order (1990), The Sopranos (1999), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000) and CSI: Miami (2002). She received Independent Spirit Award nominations for her performances in Simple Men and What Happened Was... (1994).
