Biography
Karen Steele (1931–1988) was an American actress and model. She appeared in more than 60 film and television roles, beginning with uncredited and supporting parts in the early 1950s.
Her film credits include Virginia in Marty (1955) and Mrs. Carrie Lane in Ride Lonesome (1959). She also guest-starred in series such as Star Trek, Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes and Perry Mason. Steele studied at the University of Hawaii and Rollins College in Florida, and worked as a model before acting. She was married to psychiatrist Maurice Boyd Ruland from 1973 until her death from cancer in Kingman, Arizona.
