Biography
Karen Winther (1900–1989) was a Danish actress. Born Karen Margrethe Winther in Copenhagen, she trained at the film school on Frederiksberg and joined Nordisk Film in 1918.
She appeared in Danish comedies and dramas throughout the early 1920s, including roles in David Copperfield (1922) as the adult Agnes and Kärlekens ögon (1922). She is best known for playing Anna's Sister in Benjamin Christensen's Häxan (1922). Winther married Christensen in 1927. Her screen career ended in 1925 after she was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia.
