Biography
Karl Hardman (22 March 1927 – 22 September 2007) was an American actor and film producer. He is best known for co-producing George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968) and for playing Harry Cooper in the film.
Before entering feature films, Hardman worked in Pittsburgh radio, contributing to the morning show Cordic & Company. He was president of Hardman Associates, an industrial film company, and co-founded the production company Image Ten with Romero and others.
Hardman also appeared as Bruce Brunswick in the 1996 film Santa Claws. His daughter Kyra Schon played Karen Cooper in Night of the Living Dead, and his business partner Marilyn Eastman played Helen Cooper.
