Biography
Karl Scheydt was a German actor who appeared in numerous films directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, beginning in the early 1970s. He also worked in production roles on some of those films, including as assistant director and production manager.
Among his credited roles are Albert in Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (1974), Klaus in Fox and His Friends (1975), a sailor in Querelle (1982), and Hacker in In a Year with 13 Moons (1978). He appeared in other Fassbinder works such as The Merchant of Four Seasons (1972) and World on a Wire (1973), as well as films by associates including Ulli Lommel.
Scheydt continued acting in television and film after Fassbinder's death in 1982, with credits including appearances in the series Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst.
