Biography
Kat Morris is an American writer, director and animator. She began her career with writing and directing the 2008 short The Story of One-Eyed Ophelia Jackson, followed by work as a writer on the animated series Regular Show (2010–2013).
Morris joined the production of Steven Universe (2013) as a writer and storyboard artist, later becoming storyboard supervisor and outline writer. She was promoted to supervising director from the episode "Sadie's Song" onwards. She contributed as co-director and writer on Steven Universe: The Movie (2019) and served as director and writer on Steven Universe Future (2019).
She has received seven Primetime Emmy nominations. Morris is also credited with creating the character Connie Maheswaran for Steven Universe. Her recent work includes directing and writing episodes of Bat-Fam (2025).
