Biography
Katarina Wittich, also credited as Kato Wittich, is an American director, writer and first assistant director. A native New Yorker, she graduated cum laude from Yale University and earned an MFA from New York University Graduate School of Film and Television.
She began working in the film industry in the 1980s, serving as an associate producer on Perfect Strangers (1984) and appearing as a gym teacher in Joey (1986). Wittich directed an episode of Tales from the Darkside (1987) and worked as first assistant director on features including Creepshow 2 (1987) and Shag (1989). She later wrote episodes of Red Shoe Diaries and Criminal Minds (2011).
