Biography

Kate Fodor is an American playwright and television writer. She began her career in theatre, with her debut play Hannah and Martin opening Off-Broadway in 2004. Her other plays include RX, 100 Saints You Should Know and Fifty Ways.

Fodor received a 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship in playwriting, the Roger L. Stevens Award from the Kennedy Center and a Joseph Jefferson Citation for New Work. She has also taught playwriting at the University of Pennsylvania.

In television, she has worked as a writer and producer on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2022), serving as story editor, executive story editor and producer, and writing episodes. She has also written for Julia (2022) and Stick (2025).
