Biography
Kate Sargeant, also credited as Kate Sargeant Curtis, is an American television writer and producer. She began her career as a child actress, appearing as Emily in the 1992 film 3 Ninjas. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in English and Dramatic Arts, and later earned a master's degree in Text and Performance Studies from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she wrote, directed and produced the play Revolving Door.
Sargeant has written episodes of Castle (2009), including 'The Mistress Always Spanks Twice' (2010), 'Once Upon a Crime' (2012) and 'The Final Frontier' (2012). She has worked as a writer and producer on series including CSI: Cyber (2015), NCIS: New Orleans (2016–2017), Blindspot (2015–2019) and The Rookie: Feds (2022), and served as supervising producer and story contributor on Obliterated (2023). She has also created short films and web series.
