Biography
Katharina Herberg was a German actress and radio play speaker. Born on 27 May 1935 in Oberstdorf, she trained at the Max-Reinhardt-Schule für Schauspiel in West Berlin and made her stage debut in 1957 as Anne Frank with the Gastspielbühne Berlin, later performing at the Landestheater Hannover.
She began appearing in films in 1960 and took supporting roles in several productions of the 1970s, including erotic films. Herberg is credited as Bardame (Girl in the bar) in Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (1974). She also worked as a co-editor on Ritter Orgas muß mal wieder (1970) and appeared under the name Katharina Gianni in The Long Swift Sword of Siegfried (1971). She died on 5 September 2019 in Munich.
