Biography
Katherine Beattie is a television writer and producer. She graduated from Texas Christian University in 2008 and began her career in unscripted television as an intern, then staff member, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She later worked as a script coordinator on Californication (2012–2014) and other Showtime series before moving to NCIS: New Orleans.
Beattie joined NCIS: New Orleans as script coordinator in its first season in 2014. She advanced to staff writer in 2017, then to story editor, executive story editor and producer roles. She subsequently wrote six episodes of the original NCIS series (2021–2024) and served as co-executive producer on the show. She has also written the short film Collision (2011).
Beattie has contributed to episodes addressing disability representation on screen. One such episode of NCIS: New Orleans received a Media Access Award.
