Biography
Kathy Reichs is an American writer, forensic anthropologist and academic. She is professor emerita of anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Born in Chicago in 1948, she has worked as a forensic anthropologist for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in North Carolina and the Laboratoire de Sciences Judiciaires et de Médecine Légale in Quebec.
Reichs is the author of the Temperance Brennan series of crime novels. She served as a producer on the television series Bones (2005–2017), which was inspired by her life and novels, and wrote several episodes of the series.
