Biography

Kaye Davis is an American film editor. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to California in 1975. She began her career in production roles, including as a production assistant and assistant casting director, before working as a freelance assistant editor. In 1982 she took a staff position at Euphoria Productions, where she met Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert while cutting the trailer for Crimewave (1985). She was then hired as editor on Evil Dead II (1987), working in Ferndale, Michigan.

Davis has edited a number of independent features, including Lunatics: A Love Story (1991), Bound and Gagged: A Love Story (1993), Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo (1995) and Running Time (1997). Her television credits include episodes of Young Hercules (1998–1999).
