Biography
Keith Jarrett is an American pianist, composer and occasional actor. Born on 8 May 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he attended the Berklee College of Music and performed with the Charles Lloyd Quartet before pursuing a solo career that included classical and jazz repertoire.
His recorded music has featured in several films. Excerpts from his 1975 album The Köln Concert appear in Caro diario (1993). He is credited on soundtracks for Sorcerer (1977), Bad Timing (1980) and Smoke (1995). He appeared as himself in the 1984 music video Keith Jarrett: Over the Rainbow.
