Biography
Kelly Johnson is a New Zealand actor. He began stage acting at the age of 18 with Auckland's Theatre Corporate and made his screen debut in the early 1980s.
Johnson played lead roles in Goodbye Pork Pie (1980) as Gerry Austin, Carry Me Back (1982) and Hang On a Minute Mate (1982). He also appeared in Bad Blood (1981), Battletruck (1982) and as Lieutenant Scott in Utu (1983). Later credits include episodes of The Ray Bradbury Theatre (1992) and Shortland Street, as well as the film Spooked (2004). He co-wrote the short film Sink or Swim (1986).
After a period teaching in Japan, Johnson left acting and trained as a lawyer. He has worked as a criminal lawyer and mediator in New Zealand.
