Biography
Kerry Armstrong is an Australian actress and author. She began her career with roles in Australian television series such as Prisoner and Skyways in the 1970s, before moving to the United States in 1981 to train at the HB Studio in New York.
She returned to Australia in 1987. Armstrong is known for her performance as Sonja Zat in the 2001 film Lantana, for which she won an AFI Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In the same year she also won an AFI Award for her role as Heather Jelly in the television series SeaChange, becoming one of only two actresses to win two AFI Awards in a single year. Her other credits include Razzle Dazzle (2007), 2:22 (2017) and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee (2020).
