Biography
Kim Jee-woon (also credited as Kim Ji-woon) is a South Korean film director, screenwriter and producer. Born on 6 July 1964 in Seoul, he began his career as a theatre actor and director before making his feature-film debut with the self-written and directed comedy The Quiet Family (1998).
His subsequent films include the horror A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), the crime thriller A Bittersweet Life (2005), the Western The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008), on which he also served as producer and co-writer, and the action film I Saw the Devil (2010). He made his Hollywood debut with The Last Stand (2013) and later directed The Age of Shadows (2016).
