Biography
Kimi Howl Lee is a writer and director. She is a graduate of Stanford University’s Film and Media Studies programme and began her career curating short-form content as a story editor at Snapchat before moving into screenwriting.
Lee wrote the feature script Mouth, which won the grand prize for Best Narrative Feature at the 2015 BlueCat Screenwriting Competition. She wrote and directed the short film Sugar (2015). Her television credits include story editor and writer roles on Locke & Key (2020–2021), writer on The Morning Show (2023), director on The Chi (2021), and writer and executive story editor on Sunny (2024). She also wrote the feature Yakuza Princess (2021) and the short Kama’aina (2020).
