Biography
Kimiko Yo is a Japanese actress. She was born on 12 May 1956 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, to a Japanese mother and a Taiwanese father of Hakka descent.
Yo began acting on stage in 1976 and first appeared on screen in 1987. She is known for supporting roles in Departures (2008), Dear Doctor (2009) and Shin Godzilla (2016). She won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Supporting Actress for Departures and Dear Doctor, and has received Best Supporting Actress awards at the Yokohama Film Festival.
She is represented by Alpha Agency and has appeared in numerous films and television series.
