Biography
Kitty Carlisle Hart, also credited as Kitty Carlisle and born Catherine Conn, was an American actress and singer. She made her Broadway debut in 1933 in the musical Champagne Sec and appeared in several films in the mid-1930s, including the Marx Brothers comedy A Night at the Opera (1935), in which she played Rosa.
She also featured in She Loves Me Not (1934) and Here Is My Heart (1934) alongside Bing Crosby. Later in her career she appeared in Radio Days (1987), Six Degrees of Separation (1993) and Catch Me If You Can (2002). She was a regular panelist on the television game show To Tell the Truth from 1956 to 1977 and served for twenty years on the New York State Council on the Arts. In 1946 she married playwright Moss Hart; she died in New York in 2007.
