Biography
Kitty Oliver is an American author, oral historian and former journalist. She appears as herself in the 2016 documentary The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years, directed by Ron Howard, where she discusses attending the band's integrated concert at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1964.
Oliver has also been credited on screen in Oscar Peterson: Black + White (2020) and earlier television appearances as a singer and musician on Bandstand (1968) and Die Ray-Anthony-Show (1967). She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies and has written a memoir, Multicolored Memories of a Black Southern Girl, about growing up in segregated Jacksonville.
