Biography
Klaus Kowatsch is a German actor and director. Born on 10 July 1953 in Oberfranken, he initially studied medicine before working as a theatre actor and director, primarily on Berlin stages as well as in southern Germany and France.
From the mid-1980s he appeared in films and television, with his notable screen role as Schulz in Europa Europa (1990). Other credits include appearances in November Moon (1985), Drei gegen drei (1985), Bismarck (1990) and episodes of series such as Rosa Roth (1997) and Schloss Einstein (2003). He has also worked extensively as a voice actor in German dubs.
Since 2002 Kowatsch has been artistic director of the tonweltstudios Berlin and has presented literary and musical programmes. He lives in Berlin and in Plouhinec, France.
