Biography
Konrad Elfers (25 October 1919 – 22 September 1996) was a German composer and pianist. Born in Essen, he provided music for numerous films and television productions, including later scores for silent films such as Fritz Lang’s Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler (1922) and Die Nibelungen (1922–1924).
He composed the music for Funeral in Berlin (1966), the Pippi Longstocking films (1969), and Inside Out (1975). Elfers also created scores for radio plays and was known for his live piano accompaniment on the television series Es darf gelacht werden in the 1960s.
