Biography
Kris Mrksa is an Australian screenwriter who works across Australia and the United Kingdom. He created, wrote and executive produced the 2026 Apple TV+ thriller series Last Seen, adapted from Ryan David Jahn's novel The Dispatcher.
His other credits include creating and writing the supernatural series Requiem (2018) for BBC and Netflix, the crime dramas The Murders at White House Farm (2020) and Protection (2024) for ITV, and No Escape (2023) for Paramount+. In Australia he has written for Glitch (2015), The Slap (2011), multiple seasons of Underbelly and other series. The Slap received BAFTA and International Emmy nominations.
Mrksa's work has been recognised with two AFI Awards, three AWGIE Awards and the NSW Premier's Literary Award.
