Biography

Kristin M. Burke is an American costume designer. Born on 20 March 1970 in Orange, California, she studied Radio/Television/Film and French Studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she trained in costume design under Virgil C. Johnson.

She has designed costumes for over fifty feature films, including Insidious (2010), Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012), The Conjuring (2013), Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), The Conjuring 2 (2016) and Lights Out (2016). Her television work includes costume design on the series Sleepy Hollow (2013–2015).

Burke co-authored the textbook Costuming for Film: the Art and the Craft (2005) with Holly Cole.
