Biography
Krzysztof Maria Litwin (also credited as Кшиштоф Литвин) was a Polish actor, graphic artist and painter. Born in Kraków on 19 June 1935, he trained at art schools in Zakopane and Kraków before studying graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Mieczysław Wejman. He was one of the earliest members of the cabaret Piwnica pod Baranami from 1956 and later collaborated with Silna Grupa pod Wezwaniem (1972–1977).
Litwin appeared in around 80 films and television productions. His credits include Don Lopez Soarez in The Saragossa Manuscript (1965), Zenek in the series Four Tank-Men and a Dog (1966), roles in both adaptations of The Doll (Lalka, 1968 and 1977), and parts in Niewiarygodne przygody Marka Piegusa (1966) and Schindler's List (1993). He also performed in theatre and Television Theatre productions, including works directed by Andrzej Wajda. He died in Kraków on 8 November 2000.
