Biography
Kubec Glasmon was a Polish-born American screenwriter. Born Jacob Glassman on 12 August 1897 in Raciąż, he worked as a pharmacist in Chicago before entering screenwriting.
He collaborated with John Bright on crime stories. Their unpublished novel Beer and Blood formed the basis for the screenplay of The Public Enemy (1931), for which they received an Academy Award nomination for Best Story. Glasmon contributed to other films including Blonde Crazy (1931), Three on a Match (1932) and The Glass Key (1935). He was married to actress Joan Blair and died on 13 March 1938 in Los Angeles.
