Biography
Kyle McVey is a television and comic book writer. He began his career writing episodes of the series Inside Information (2008–2009) and worked in post-production on Human Target (2010–2011). He later served as a writer's assistant and staff writer on the NBC series Grimm (2011), contributing to 15 episodes between 2014 and 2017, including co-writing "The Show Must Go On" with Marc Gaffen.
With Gaffen, McVey also wrote the Grimm comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment. His other television credits include writing for Unikitty! (2017–2019) and WondLa (2024–2025). He is a member of the Writers Guild of America and The Animation Guild, and has taught screenwriting at UCLA Extension. He contributed to the development of an animated Stranger Things series for Netflix.
