Biography
Lala Huete is a costume designer born in São Paulo in 1957. She began working in film in the mid-1980s as an assistant costume designer before taking lead roles on Spanish productions.
Her credits include Belle Époque (1992), the Torrente series beginning with Torrente: The Dumb Arm of the Law (1998), Pan's Labyrinth (2006), Spanish Affair (2014) and Spanish Affair 2 (2015). She is the daughter of filmmaker and comic author Manuel Huete Aguilar and sister of producers Ana Huete, Cristina Huete and Angelica Huete.
Huete has received three Goya Awards for best costume design, for The Girl of Your Dreams (1998), The Shanghai Spell (2002) and El Greco (2008), as well as a BAFTA Award for Pan's Labyrinth.
