Biography
László feLugossy is a Hungarian actor, painter, performer, director and musician. He was born on 25 June 1947 in Kecskemét. He is known for his role as Schmidt in Béla Tarr’s Satantango (1994).
feLugossy has appeared in other Tarr films, including as the Housepainter in Werckmeister Harmonies (2000) and in The Man from London (2007). A self-taught multidisciplinary artist, he was a founder of the Vajda Lajos Studio in Szentendre in 1972 and served as singer and lyricist for the band A. E. Bizottság from 1979 to 1986. He received the Munkácsy Mihály Prize in 1990.
