Biography
Laura Birn is a Finnish actress. She completed a master's degree at the Helsinki Theatre Academy in 2008.
Birn has appeared in Finnish films including Pearls and Pigs (2003), Promise (2005), Christmas Story (2007), Purge (2012), for which she won a Jussi Award for Best Actress, Heart of a Lion (2013), A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014), The Girl King (2015), The Ones Below (2016), Helene (2020) and The Crow (2024). She is also known for the series The Innocents (2018) and Munkkivuori (2022), the latter earning her a Golden Venla award for Best Supporting Actress.
Since 2021 Birn has played the robot Demerzel in the Apple TV+ series Foundation.
