Biography
Laura Paredes is an Argentine actress and screenwriter. Born on 16 August 1980 in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires Province, she has worked in theatre, film and television since the mid-2000s.
She is known for her performance as Adriana Calvo de Laborde in Argentina, 1985 (2022), for which she won the Silver Condor Award for Best Supporting Actress. The same year she starred in and co-wrote the screenplay for Trenque Lauquen (2022) with director Laura Citarella; the pair received the International Cinephile Society Award for Best Original Screenplay. Other credits include The Delinquents (2023), La flor (2018) and Belén (2025).
Paredes is a member of the theatre collective Piel de Lava and the partner of filmmaker Mariano Llinás.
